Removal Procedure

- Prepare the electronic brake control module for removal with Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace - Remove - Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Impact Bar Bracket) , or Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Plenum without Blackwing) , or Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement (Plenum with Blackwing)
Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake Fluid Level Sensor - Disconnect
Electrical Connector (1) @ Brake System Control Module - Disconnect
- NOTE:
Label the brake pipes to ensure they are re-installed in the correct ports of the brake master cylinder.
- Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Disconnect [4x] - Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pipe Replacement
- Plug the brake master cylinder ports and the brake pipes to stop fluid loss and contamination.
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Remove - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side
Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
Depress the brake pedal retainer (1) locking tabs.
- Pull the brake pedal (2) outwards to release it from the brake pedal retainer (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the brake pedal retainer (1).
Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Remove
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Bolt (2) - Remove
- Lift the front of the brake master cylinder reservoir (1) upwards and remove from the brake master cylinder.
Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Grommet (1) - Remove and DISCARD [3x]
