Installation Procedure

Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose (1) @ Engine Coolant Manifold - Install
- Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (2) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Nut (1) - Install and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose (2) @ Heater Core - Install
- Retainer (3) - Engage [2x]
Radiator Surge Tank (2) - Install - Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LT4)
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4 GE 47716)
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
