Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission control from the vehicle. Manual Transmission Control Replacement

    Disconnect the manual transmission gear position sensor electrical connector (1).

  3. Remove the 4 manual shift shaft position switch bolts (2).
    4. NOTE:

    Do Not remove manual transmission gear position sensor (4) from the mounting plate (3). These components are serviced as a assembly.

  4. Remove the manual transmission gear position sensor assembly (4) from the transmission.
  5. Remove the manual transmission gear position sensor seal.
