Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool to depress the steering wheel airbag access hole cover detents to remove the 2 steering wheel airbag access hole covers (1).

    Steering Wheel Airbag Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  4. Release the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Loosen the steering wheel bolt (1) so that 2 - 3 threads are engaged.

  8. Wiggle the steering wheel until the wheel disengages completely.
  9. Steering Wheel Bolt (1) - Remove
  10. Steering Wheel (2) - Remove

    Steering Wheel Bolt (1) @ Automatic Transmission Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch - Remove [4x]

  12. Steering Wheel Bolt (2) @ Steering Wheel Shroud - Remove [6x]

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  14. Steering Wheel Shroud (1) - Remove

    Automatic Transmission Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch-Left Side (1) - Remove

  16. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Automatic Transmission Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch-Right Side (1) - Remove

  18. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Steering Wheel Bolt (1) @ Steering Wheel Spoke Cover - Remove [2x]

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Steering Wheel Bolt (1) @ Drive Mode Selector Auxiliary Switch (3) - Remove [2x]

  23. Drive Mode Selector Auxiliary Switch (3) - Remove
  24. Steering Wheel Bolt (2) @ Ride Control Switch (4) - Remove [2x]
  25. Ride Control Switch (4) - Remove

    Steering Wheel Bolt (1) @ Radio Control Switch (3) - Remove [3x]

  27. Radio Control Switch (3) - Remove
  28. Steering Wheel Bolt (2) @ Cruise Control Switch (4) - Remove [3x]
  29. Cruise Control Switch (4) - Remove
