  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 connector at the K32 Heated Steering Wheel Module, ignition ON.
  2. NOTE:

The following test is performed on the E15 Steering Wheel Heater side of the connector.

  3. Test for less than 1 V between control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If 1 V or greater

Replace the E15 Steering Wheel Heater.

    • Go to next step: If less than 1 V
  4. NOTE:

The following test is performed on the E15 Steering Wheel Heater side of the connector.

  5. Test for less than 1 V between voltage reference circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If 1 V or greater

Replace the E15 Steering Wheel Heater.

    • Go to next step: If less than 1 V
  6. Ignition OFF.
  7. NOTE:

The following test is performed on the E15 Steering Wheel Heater side of the connector.

  8. Test for infinite resistance between control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If less than infinite resistance

Replace the E15 Steering Wheel Heater.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance
  9. NOTE:

The following test is performed on the E15 Steering Wheel Heater side of the connector.

  10. Test for infinite resistance between voltage reference circuit terminal 4 and ground.
