Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0106, P0107, P0108, P2227, P2228, P2229, P2230, P227C, P227D, P227E is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation = Less than 90%
- If 90% or greater
Refer to: Throttle Body Cleaning
- Go to next step: If less than 90%
- If 90% or greater
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- B65 Manifold Absolute Pressure and Intake Air Temperature Sensor - Leaking @ O-Ring - Missing / Visible Damage
- B75 Mass Air Flow Sensor - Contamination of the measuring element /Cracked/Loose Clamps / Visible Damage/Water intrusion
- B111 Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure Sensor
- Leaking @ O-Ring - Missing / Visible Damage
- Restricted - Moisture/Ice
- Skewed
- Q38 Throttle Body
- Coking/Loose Clamps /Visible Damage
- Restricted - Moisture/Ice
- Air Cleaner Element - Dirty / Restricted
- Catalytic Converter - Blocked / Restricted/Visible Damage
- Charge Air Cooler
- Leaking / Incorrect connection
- Restricted - Moisture/Ice
- Engine - Mechanical Condition - Refer to: Symptoms - Engine Mechanical
- Exhaust System - Leaking /Restricted/ Visible Damage
- Intake Air Duct - Cracked / Loose Clamps / Restricted / Visible Damage
- Intake Manifold - Cracked / Loose Clamps / Restricted / Vacuum leak/Visible Damage
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation System
- Leaking @ O-Ring - Missing / Visible Damage
- Restricted - Moisture/Ice
- Incorrect connection /Leaking / Restricted
- Vacuum Hoses - Kinked / Leaking / Incorrect connection / Restricted
- Vacuum leak @ Engine - Oil Level Indicator and Tube /Oil Filler Cap
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Barometric Pressure Sensor = Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure - The value should be within the range listed in the table.
- Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor = Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure - The value should be within the range listed in the table.
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor = Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure - The value should be within the range listed in the table.
- If not in the specified range
- {Barometric Pressure Sensor} Refer to: DTC P10BC, P2228-P2230, or P227C-P227E
- {Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor} Refer to: DTC P0107 or P0108
- {Turbocharger Boost Sensor} Refer to: DTC P0237 or P0238
- Go to next step: If in the specified range
- All OK.
