Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Pull the windshield garnish moldings (1) rearwards to release the tether from the A pillar.
- Access the windshield garnish molding bolts (2) which are located on the backside of the windshield garnish moldings (1) securing the tethers to the A pillars.
- Windshield Garnish Molding Bolts - Remove [2x]
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove both windshield garnish moldings.
Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, to release the instrument panel extension (1) retainer clips.
- Instrument Panel Extension (1) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
Depress the sun load temperature and ambient light and security indicator sensor (1) detents to remove the sensor from the instrument panel extension.
