Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Body Control Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  3. Unlock and lower the body control module bracket (2) from the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator.

    Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

    Release the detent (2) from the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator.

  6. Detach the wiring harness clips (1) from the body control module bracket.
  7. Body Control Module (4) - Remove
  8. Disconnect the body control module connectors (3).

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Right Side (1) - Remove

  10. Disengage the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator from the front of the front floor console extension panel.

    Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, start at the front of the right-side instrument panel outer trim cover (1), and work your way back releasing the retaining clips to remove the cover.

  12. { If equipped } Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  14. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Passenger Side (2) - Remove
  15. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]

    Instrument Panel Compartment (1) - Remove

  18. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

  20. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Upper and Blow Lower Case Bolt (2) - Remove

    Programmable Temperature Valve Actuator-Air Inlet Valve Actuator (1) - Remove
