Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  3. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Passenger Side (2) - Remove
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Body Control Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove

  6. Unlock and lower the body control module bracket (2) from the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator.

    Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

    Release the detent (2) from the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator.

  9. Detach the wiring harness clips (1) from the body control module bracket.
  10. Disconnect the body control module connectors (3).
  11. Body Control Module (4) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Right Side (1) - Remove

    Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, start at the front of the right-side instrument panel outer trim cover (1), and work your way back releasing the retaining clips to remove the cover.

  14. Disconnect electrical connections, if applicable.

    Instrument Panel Compartment Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]

    Instrument Panel Compartment (1) - Remove

  17. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Air Temperature Sensor (1) - Remove

  19. Disconnect the electrical connector.
