Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the connector at the B10B Sun Load Temperature and Ambient Light and Security Indicator Sensor. It may take up to 10 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If 10 Ω or greater
- Test circuit 407 for an open/high resistance
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If less than 10 Ω
- Ignition ON.
- Test for 4.8 - 5.2 V between the signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Driver Solar Sensor signal circuit terminal 1.
- Inside Air Temperature signal circuit terminal 4.
- If less than 4.8 V
- Test for infinite resistance between the appropriate circuit and ground.
- Circuit 590
- Circuit 734
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test the appropriate circuit for an open/high resistance
- Circuit 590
- Circuit 734
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- If greater than 5.2 V
- Test the appropriate circuit for a short to voltage.
- Circuit 590
- Circuit 734
- If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found
- Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If between 4.8 - 5.2 V
- Test or replace the B10B Sun Load Temperature and Ambient Light and Security Indicator Sensor.
- Verify the DTC does not set or the symptom does not occur while operating the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.
- If the DTC or symptom is not corrected.
Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the DTC or symptom is corrected.
- If the DTC or symptom is not corrected.
- All OK.
