Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON/ Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify no DTCs are set
    • Go to next step: If no DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the BCM Blower Motor Speed Request parameter changes each time the blower motor speed control switch is pressed.
    • If the Blower Motor Speed Request parameter does not change each time the blower motor speed control switch is pressed. 

      Replace the A26 Heater and Air Conditioning User Interface Controls - Front.

    • Go to next step: If the Blower Motor Speed Request parameter changes each time the blower motor speed control switch is pressed. 
  4. Verify the blower motor operates properly with the blower motor speed control switch in each speed position.
    • If the blower motor does not operate properly in each position 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the blower motor operates properly in each position 
  5. A fault is not currently present and may be an intermittent condition.
