Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The K9 Body Control Module (BCM) controls the KR73 Ignition Main Relay by applying voltage to the control circuit 5199 and is grounded by the ground circuit. When the relay is energized, the relay B+ supply voltage circuit will provide voltage to the relay output control circuit, this circuit supplies B+ to the fuses that supply the Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage to the appropriate Modules. The DTC sets if there is voltage present on the Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage circuit when the KR73 Ignition Main Relay is not commanded on by the K9 Body Control Module, or if No voltage is detected on the Run/Crank Ignition 1 Voltage circuit when the KR73 Ignition Main Relay is commanded on by the K9 Body Control Module.
