Installation Procedure

Rear Side Door Latch Striker (2) - Install
- Rear Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Install and hand tighten [2x]
- Close the rear side door, noting any of the following:
- Improper door alignment to door opening, drag causing the door to move up/down upon contact with the striker
- Excessive closing efforts to engage the door latch.
- NOTE:
If required, adjust the rear side door latch striker for proper door alignment and closing efforts.
Rear Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Loosen [2x]
- Reposition the rear side door latch striker (2) in the up/down direction to eliminate drag, ensuring proper door alignment to the door opening is maintained.
- Reposition the rear side door latch striker (2) in the in/out direction for proper door seal engagement, ensuring door closing efforts are correct.
- Rear Side Door Latch Striker Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Using a clean towel and isopropyl alcohol, remove the grease pencil markings.
Rear Side Door Latch Striker Cover (1) - Install
- Insert the inboard rear side door latch striker cover retaining tabs into the rear side door latch striker.
- Press the outboard rear side door latch striker cover retaining tabs into place, ensuring the rear side door latch striker cover (1) is fully seated.
