Removal Procedure

Apply the parking brake.
Place the transmission control in the Neutral position.

NOTE:

The transmission control lever boot and knob are replaced as an assembly.

Using a flat bladed trim tool, detach the manual transmission control lever boot (2) from the console.
Lift the manual transmission control lever boot (1) to access the manual transmission control lever knob bolt (3).
Remove the manual transmission control lever knob bolt (3), then lift off the manual transmission control lever boot and knob assembly (1, 2).

Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
Reposition the front floor console trim plate (1) to access the electrical connector.

NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

Disconnect the instrument panel harness connector (1) from the front floor console wiring harness extension harness.

Front Floor Console Trim Plate (1) - Remove

Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
Reposition the component to access the electrical connectors.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Front Floor Console Rear Trim Panel (1) - Remove

Reposition the seat as necessary to access the retaining clips.
Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Right Side (1) - Remove

Front Floor Console Cup Holder Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

Reposition the seat as necessary to access the retaining clips.
Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
Front Floor Console Extension Panel - Left Side (1) - Remove

Front Floor Console Armrest Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Front Floor Console Cup Holder Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]
Remove the lens of the front floor console bin lamp (3) from the front floor console cup holder.

Starting from the rear of the front floor console cup holder (1), release the retaining clips and work your way forward.

Pull back to clear the two forward guide pins.
Reposition the component to access the electrical connectors.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
Multimedia Receptacle (1) - Remove
