- CAUTION:
If any malfunction is experienced which may cause debris to enter the oil supply, you must replace the engine oil cooler and hoses if equipped. Debris in the engine oil cooler and oil cooler hoses may be pulled back into the engine causing severe engine damage.
NOTE:A constant and continuous flow of clean engine oil is required to properly prime the engine. Be sure to use an approved engine oil.
Oil Filter Cap - Remove
- Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (1) - Remove
- Install the EN-21867-6 Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting.
Install the flexible hose to the EN-21867-6 Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting and open the valve.
- Pump the handle on the EN-45299 Engine Preluber (1) to flow a minimum of 1 - 1.9 liters (1 - 2 quarts) of engine oil. Observe the flow of engine oil through the flexible hose and into the engine assembly.
- Close the valve and remove the flexible hose from EN-21867-6 Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting.
- Remove the EN-21867-6 Oil Pressure Adapter Fitting from the engine.
- Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
- Oil Filter Cap - Install
