Removal Procedure
- Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Loosen
- Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Reposition
Oil Level Indicator (1) - Remove
Oil Level Indicator Tube Bolt (1) - Remove
Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Remove
- Inspect the oil level indicator seal (2) and replace as necessary.
Engine Front Cover (1) - Remove - Engine Front Cover Removal and Installation
- Install the engine support fixture. Engine Support Fixture
Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Engine Mount Nut (2) - Remove
Lift the left side of the engine with the EN-51007 Global Engine Support Fixture to lift the engine mount bracket off of the engine mount.
- Engine Mount (1) - Remove
- CAUTION:
Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.
Inspect the engine mount to ensure the phenolic spacer (1) is in place and not damaged.
Engine Mount Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [4x]
- NOTE:

Engine Mount Bracket (1) - Remove
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Connector Bolt (1) - Remove
- Reposition transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe as necessary.
Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Engine Mount Nut (2) - Remove
Lift the right side of the engine with the EN-51007 Global Engine Support Fixture to lift the engine mount bracket off of the engine mount.
- Engine Mount (1) - Remove
- CAUTION:

Retaining Clip (1) - Remove
- Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Remove
Retaining Clip (1) - Remove
- Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (2) - Remove
Turbocharger Coolant Feed Hose Clamp (1) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Turbocharger Coolant Feed Lower Hose (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Remove
- Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (3) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Radiator Outlet Hose (4) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Remove
Retaining Clip (1) - Remove
- Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (2) @ Oil Filter Adapter - Remove
Engine Oil Cooler Adapter Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Engine Oil Cooler Adapter (1) - Remove
Oil Filter Adapter Bolt (1) - Remove
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Nut (1) - Remove [5x]
- Catalytic Converter Brace (2) - Remove
Transmission Stud (1) - Remove [5x]
Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Oil Pan Bolt (1, 2, 3) - Remove [13x]
Oil Pan (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
Remove any RTV sealant (1) from the oil pan (2) and mating surface using EN-28410 Gasket Remover (3).
- Clean out debris from the bolt holes (4).
Oil Pan Baffle Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]
- Crankshaft Oil Deflector (2) - Remove
