Removal Procedure

- Set the parking brake in Service Mode. Parking Brake Service Mode Selection
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
{If equipped} Retainer (3) - Remove
- {If equipped} Rear Brake Caliper Bleeder Valve Cap (2) - Remove
- {If equipped} Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (1) @ Rear Brake Caliper - Remove
Rear Parking Brake Actuator Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator - Disconnect
- Retainer (2) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator - Remove
Rear Parking Brake Actuator (1) - Remove
- Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD
NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the bleeder valve cap if the vehicle is not equipped with a brake pad wear sensor.
