Lower Crankcase Extension Inspection

Inspect all sealing and mating surfaces (1, 3, 4, 7, 8) for damage, repair or replace the lower crankcase extension if necessary.
- Inspect the oil level indicator tube hole (2) for damage or excessive debris.
- Inspect the oil cooler seal area (3) for any damage.
- Inspect the oil pump drive chain cover (5) and bolt (4) for any damage. Fastener Specifications
- Inspect the oil filter surface (8) for damage or excessive debris.
- Inspect the oil filter bypass valve hole (9) for damage or excessive debris.
- Inspect the balancer shafts (10) for grooves, cracks, scratches and any other damage.
- Inspect all threaded and through holes for damage or excessive debris.
- Inspect all bolts for damage, if damaged replace with NEW bolts only.
