Installation Procedure

  1. GM5520990

    Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor (5) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  2. Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor Bolt (6) - Install - Fastener Specifications
  3. Throttle Body Seal (3) - Install NEW [2x]
  4. Throttle Body (4) - Install
  5. Throttle Body Adapter (2) - Install
  6. Throttle Body Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Manifold Gasket (2) - Install NEW

    NOTE:

    Check that the 2 pins (4) of the intake manifold are seated correctly in the cylinder head.

    Intake Manifold (3) - Install

  9. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Intake Manifold (3) - Install
  10. Connect throttle body electrical connector (1)

    Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [7x] - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor - Connect

    Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

  14. GM5512539

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Pipe Bracket (2) - Install [2x]

  15. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Clip Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Reposition the wiring harness (3) and connect as necessary.

  17. Retainer (1) @ Intake Manifold (2) - Install [7x]

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump (2) - Install

  19. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Evaporative Emission Pipe (1) @ Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  21. Connect the electrical connector.

    Connect the evaporative emission canister purge tube (2) to the retainer (3).

  23. Connect the evaporative emission canister purge tube quick disconnects (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  25. Upper Intake Manifold Cover Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  26. GM5137013

    Upper Intake Manifold Cover Bracket Bolt (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  27. GM5137012

    Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition

  28. Retainer (2) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (3) - Install
  29. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect [3x]
  30. Ensure any remaining retainers are connected securely.

    Oil Level Indicator Tube Seal (2) - Install NEW

  32. Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Install

    Oil Level Indicator Tube Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications

  34. Electrical Connector (1) @ Oil Level Indicator Tube (3) - Install

    Oil Level Indicator (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

    NOTE:

    Ensure the engine sight shield retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (1) engaging the intake manifold cover retainers to the intake manifold cover studs.

  38. Install the oil fill cap.
  39. Connect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  40. Perform the throttle body idle air flow compensation reset. Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation Reset
