Circuit/System Testing

    NOTE:

    A purchased data plan through OnStar is required to use the in vehicle Wi-Fi Hotspot.

  1. Under settings verify the vehicles Wi-Fi Hotspot is turned ON.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the coax cable connector at the T4T Wireless Communication Antenna - WLAN and at the A11 Radio.
  3. Verify the coax cable passes the coax cable component test. Refer to Component Testing.
    • If the coax cable does not pass the test 

      Replace the coax cable

    • Go to next step: If the coax cable passes the test 
  4. Test or replace the T4T Wireless Communication Antenna - WLAN.
  5. Verify a mobile device can be connected to the vehicles Hotspot.
    • If a mobile device cannot be connected to the vehicles Hotspot. 

      Replace the A11 Radio.

    • Go to next step: If a mobile device can be connected to the vehicles Hotspot. 
  6. All OK.
