Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Rear Seat Cushion (1) - Remove - Rear Seat Cushion Removal and Installation

    Fold the rear seat back to the downward position.

  4. Access the rear seat back bolster retainer lock (1) through a slot in the upper portion of the bolster.
  5. Slide the rear seat back bolster retainer lock (1) toward the front of the vehicle.

    Rear Seat Back Bolster Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  7. Squeeze the rear seat back bolster retainer to release it.

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool to remove the quarter window trim finish panel bolt cap (1) on both sides.

  10. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
  11. { If equipped } Disconnect the electrical connector.
  12. Quarter Upper Trim Panel (3) - Reposition [2x]

    NOTE:

    Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to aid in removal of the rear window panel retainers (1) from the rear window panel trim (2).

    Rear Window Panel Trim Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]

  15. Rear Window Panel Trim (1) - Remove
    • Release the rear center seat belt opening bezel from the rear center seat belt retractor.
    • Lift up on the rear window panel trim (1) to release the retainers under the forward portion of the panel trim.
    • Route the center seat belt webbing through the trim.
    • With the aid of an assistant, guide the rear window panel forward in the vehicle and upwards to clear the speaker system.
    • When replacing the rear window panel trim (1), transfer all necessary components.

    Rear Center Seat Belt Retractor Bolt -Front (1) - Remove

  17. Rear Center Seat Belt Retractor Bolt -Rear (2) - Remove
  18. Rear Center Seat Belt Retractor (3) - Remove
