Removal Procedure
Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning .
Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.
- Place the rear side door window in the down position.
- Rear Side Door Trim - Remove - Rear Side Door Trim Removal and Installation
Rear Side Door Trim Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Rear Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (2) - Remove
- NOTE:
There is a metal retainer on the backside of the rear portion of the window garnish molding (2).
Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool to remove the push-in retainers (1).
- Rear Side Door Window Garnish Molding Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
- Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to disengage the metal retainer.
- Rear Side Door Window Garnish Molding (2) - Remove
Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in deflector.
- Rear Side Door Water Deflector (1) - Remove
Lift the rear side door window inner sealing strip (1) off the pinch-weld flange.
- Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip (1) - Remove
Reposition the rear side door weatherstrip to access the rear side door window belt reveal molding bolts (1).
- Rear Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Using the appropriate tool, lift the rear side door window belt reveal molding (1) up to remove it from the door flange.
Rear Side Door Window Rear Channel Bolt (1) - Remove
Reposition the rear side door weatherstrip (1) to gain access to the rear side door window weatherstrip bolt.
Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Bolt (1) - Remove
Pull the rear side door window weatherstrip (1) away from the outer window flange to remove.
Place the window regulator in the full up position.
- Rear Side Door Window Regulator Sash Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen [2x]
- Tape the window to hold in the up position and lower the window regulator.
- NOTE:
Use care when removing the rear side door window (1) not to scrape the glass against exposed metal edges inside the rear side door frame.
Remove the tape and guide the rear side door window (1) down and into the door frame.
- Pull and turn the rear side door window (1) up to remove the window from the door frame.
