Installation Procedure

  1. GM5430410

    Air Conditioning Condenser Bracket (2) @ Engine Radiator (3) - Install [2x]

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Air Conditioning Condenser Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  3. GM5430398

    Radiator Lower Insulator (3) - Install [2x]

  4. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Install
  5. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (1) - Install
  6. GM5430392

    Engine Radiator (1) - Install

  7. GM5430387

    Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Switch Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Connect

    Install the transmission fluid auxiliary cooler (2) into the 2 air conditioning condenser brackets.

  9. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Reposition the charge air cooler (2) and insert into the air conditioning condenser brackets.

  11. Charge Air Cooler Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  12. GM5430363

    Reposition and install the air conditioning condenser (1) into the air conditioning condenser brackets.

  13. Air Conditioning Condenser Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Radiator Outlet Hose (4) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  16. Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp @ Engine Radiator (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Radiator Inlet Hose (3) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  18. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (4) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  19. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Radiator - Install
  20. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Auxiliary Radiator Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  22. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  23. GM5429379

    Install the right radiator air side baffle (1) by manipulating from between the vehicle components.

  24. Radiator Air Seal Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
  25. GM5429377

    Install the left radiator air side baffle (1) by manipulating from between the vehicle components.

  26. Radiator Air Seal Retainer (2) - Install [2x]

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Radiator Air Side Baffle - Left Side - Install

  28. GM5406711

    Engine Cooler Fan (3) @ Engine Radiator (1) - Install

  29. Engine Coolant Fan Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Auxiliary Radiator Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @ Engine Cooler Fan (2) - Install [2x]

    Auxiliary Radiator Inlet Pipe (3) - Move into position

  32. Auxiliary Radiator Outlet Pipe Clip (2) - Install [2x]
  33. Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Clip (1) @ Engine Cooler Fan - Install

    Install the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

    Engine Wiring Harness (3) - Move into position

  36. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Install [4x]
    37. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  37. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  38. GM5479536

    Electrical Connector (4) - Connect [2x]

  39. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  40. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  41. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  42. GM5427476

    Engine Coolant Fan Electrical Connector (3) @ Forward Lamp Wiring Harness (4) - Connect

  43. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Bracket (2) - Reposition
  44. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Radiator Upper Bracket (2) - Install [2x]

  46. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  47. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install
  48. GM5420297

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle (2) - Install

  49. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [7x]
  50. Raise the vehicle.

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

  52. GM5422324

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Left Side (1) - Install [2x]

  53. GM5429279

    Radiator Air Lower Baffle (2) - Install

  54. Radiator Air Lower Seal Retainer (1) - Install [6x]
  55. GM5423336

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle (1) - Install

  56. GM5423335

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

  57. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
  58. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
