Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [10x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [3x]

  4. GM5407644

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [6x]

  5. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]
  6. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]

    Pull the front bumper fascia center air deflector (1) rearward and down from the front bumper fascia.

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle (1) - Remove

    Radiator Air Lower Seal Retainer (1) - Remove [6x]

  11. Radiator Air Lower Baffle (2) - Remove

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Left Side (1) - Remove [2x]

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]

  14. Lower the vehicle.

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Remove [7x]

  16. Radiator Air Upper Baffle (2) - Remove

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Remove

  18. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (3) - Remove [4x]
  19. Radiator Upper Bracket (2) - Remove [2x]

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bolt (1) - Remove

  21. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Bracket (2) - Reposition
  22. Engine Coolant Fan Electrical Connector (3) @ Forward Lamp Wiring Harness (4) - Disconnect

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Remove [3x]

  24. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  25. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  26. Electrical Connector (4) - Disconnect [2x]

    Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Remove

  28. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Loosen
  29. GM5427525

    Remove the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

    Radiator Outlet Pipe Clip (4) - Remove

  31. Radiator Inlet Pipe (3) - Reposition away

    Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Clip (1) @ Engine Cooler Fan (2) - Remove

    Charge Air Cooler Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  34. Without disconnecting the charge air inlet and outlet cooler tubes, lift up on the charge air cooler (2) and reposition.

    Lift upward on the engine radiator (1) until the 2 radiator lower insulators (2) have sufficient clearance.

  36. Radiator Lower Insulator (2) - Remove [2x]
