Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
  2. GM5488365

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  3. Electrical Connector (2) @ Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve - Disconnect
  4. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  5. GM5488367

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Loosen [2x]

  6. GM5488369

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Remove

  7. GM5488371

    Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (2) - Disconnect

  8. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (1) - Remove
  9. GM5488373

    Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (1) - Remove
