Installation Procedure

    Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Install

  2. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (1) - Install
  3. GM5399683

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - Connect

  4. GM5045008

    Crankcase Vent Passage Seal (4) - Install NEW

  5. Intake Manifold Gasket (3) - Install NEW [4x]

    Intake Manifold (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Install [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Retainer (1) - Install

  9. GM5399157

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Install

  10. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage
  11. GM5517201

    Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) - Install

  12. Oil Level Indicator Tube Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Upper Intake Manifold Cover (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover Stud (2) - Install [3x] - Fastener Specifications

  15. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump (2) - Install

  17. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Bolt (1) - Install [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  18. GM5504108

    Engine Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition

  19. Retainer (3) - Install [4x]
  20. Electrical Connector (2) - Connect [2x]
  21. Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications

    Throttle Body Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

  23. GM5504095

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (3) - Reposition

  24. Retainer (2) - Install [3x]
  25. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Connect

    Evaporative Emission Pipe (2) - Connect

  27. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Connect

    NOTE:

    Ensure the intake manifold cover insulator retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Intake Manifold Cover Insulator (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  31. GM5432171

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  32. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  33. Install the oil fill cap.
  34. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  35. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
  36. Perform the intake system learned values reset. Intake System Learned Values Reset
  37. Perform the engine coolant control valve learn. Engine Coolant Control Valve Learn
  38. Perform the engine coolant pump data reset. Engine Coolant Pump Data Reset
