Installation Procedure

    Engine Coolant Manifold Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  2. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe (1) - Install

    Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe (3) @ Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve - Install

  5. Hose Clamp (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  6. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Coolant Manifold Gasket (3) - Install NEW

  8. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Pipe (2) - Install
  9. Engine Coolant Heater Exhaust Pipe Bolt (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten [2x]

  19. Heater Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Coolant Heater Exhaust Pipe - Install
  20. Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  24. Raise the vehicle.

    Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Fitting Seal (4) - Install NEW [2x]

  44. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose (3) - Install
  45. Retainer (2) - Install
  46. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Install

    Crankcase Pressure Sensor (2) - Install

  49. Crankcase Pressure Sensor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  50. Connect the crankcase pressure sensor electrical connector.

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

    NOTE:

    Ensure the engine sight shield retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (1).

  53. Install the oil fill cap.

    Plenum Front Panel (1) - Install

    Plenum Front Panel Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  56. Plenum Front Panel Nut (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  57. Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

    Plenum Front Panel Nut (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

  59. Plenum Front Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  60. Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.
  61. Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension retainers as necessary.

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Deflector Water Deflector Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

    Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

  65. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  66. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

    1. Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
    2. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.
    3. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Install [6x]

    Install the front compartment side sight shield (2) to the left and right side.

  71. Install the 2 front compartment side sight shield retainer (1) to the left and right side.

    Install the hood rear outer air inlet seal (2) to the left and right side.

  73. Install the 2 hood rear outer air inlet seal retainer (1) to the left and right side.

    Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension (1) - Install [2x]

    1. Install the air inlet grille panel extension (1).
    2. Remove the masking tape from the top edge of the service part.
    3. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

    Windshield Wiper Arm (3) - Install [2x]

    1. Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arm (3).
    2. Position the windshield wiper arm (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft.
    3. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
    4. Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install

    If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.

    1. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
    2. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
    3. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
    4. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
  77. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716)
  78. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
