Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
- Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- NOTE:
- Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.
- Left side shown, right side similar.
Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
- Front Tire Front Air Deflector- Right Side (2) - Remove
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (1) - Remove [3x]
- Front Bumper Fascia Bolt- Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
- Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.
- Left side shown, right side similar.
Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer- Right Side (3) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt- Right Side (1) - Remove [5x]
- Engine Front Splash Shield- Right Side (2) - Remove
Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Right Side (1) - Remove [6x]
- Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer- Right Side (2) - Remove
- Front Wheelhouse Liner- Right Side (3) - Reposition
Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]
Auxiliary Radiator Rear Duct (1) - Remove
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (without Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing CFV, CFZ)
Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]
Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
The front bumper fascia support brace (2) may have a forward range radar sensor attached, if equipped.
Front Bumper Fascia Support Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Front Bumper Fascia Support Brace (2) - Remove
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the forward range radar sensor, if equipped.
Intake Air Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
- Radiator Air Lower Seal Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
- Radiator Air Lower Baffle Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]
Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace (2) - Remove [2x]
Horn Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Horn (2) - Reposition [2x]
Reposition the wiring harness.
- Front Bumper Impact Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]
- Front Bumper Impact Bar (2) - Remove
Auxiliary Radiator Front Duct (1) - Remove
Using an appropriate tool, disengage the radiator inlet hose retainer (1).
- Auxiliary Radiator Inlet Hose (2) - Remove
Radiator Outlet Hose Clip (3) - Remove
- Using an appropriate tool, disengage the radiator outlet hose retainer (2).
- Radiator Outlet Hose (1) @ Engine Auxiliary Radiator - Remove
Charge Air Cooler Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Charge Air Cooler Upper Bracket Nut (2) - Loosen
Remove the engine auxiliary radiator assembly (1) from the vehicle.
Charge Air Cooler Upper Insulator (3) - Remove [2x]
- Charge Air Cooler Upper Bracket Nut (2) - Remove [2x]
- Charge Air Cooler Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Charge Air Cooler Bracket- Upper (1) - Remove
- Remove the engine auxiliary radiator (2) from the charge air cooler bracket (3).
