Installation Procedure

Electric Water Pump (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Water Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Water Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Lower the vehicle.
Electrical Connector (1) @ Electric Water Pump - Connect
Thermostat Bypass Hose (3) @ Electric Water Pump - Install
- Heater Outlet Hose (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Install
- Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Radiator Outlet Hose (3) @ Electric Water Pump - Install
- Thermostat Bypass Hose (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Install
- Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install
Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).
- Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Install the oil fill cap.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716)
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
