Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Drive Belt Tensioner (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Drive Belt Tensioner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  3. GM5854879

    Use a suitable tool to rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise, then hold tension.

  4. Install the accessory drive primary belt (2) onto the last idler pulley. Check to ensure that the drive belt is centered on each pulley, and fully seated into ribbed pulleys.
  5. Slowly release tension from the drive belt tensioner (1).
  6. Inspect the accessory drive primary belt (2) again to ensure centered on each pulley.

    Air Cleaner Upper Housing (2) - Install

  8. Air Cleaner Housing Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [13x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. Connect the 2 mass airflow sensor electrical connectors.
  10. Instal all retainers to the air cleaner upper housing.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Install

  12. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  13. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) - Install
  14. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
