Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify no other DTCs are set.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the following conditions do not exist:
    • M129 Intake Camshaft Profile Actuator1-4 - Incorrect installation/Visible Damage
    • M130 Exhaust Camshaft Profile Actuator2-3 - Incorrect installation/Visible Damage
    • Exhaust Camshaft - Visible Damage
    • Intake Camshaft - Visible Damage
    • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary 
    • Go to next step: If none of the conditions exists 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Repair as necessary - An engine mechanical condition

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  5. All OK.
