Removal Procedure

- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the transmission control in the Neutral position.
- NOTE:
The transmission control lever boot and knob are replaced as an assembly.
Using a flat bladed trim tool, detach the manual transmission control lever boot (2) from the console.
- Lift the manual transmission control lever boot (1) to access the manual transmission control lever knob bolt (3).
- Remove the manual transmission control lever knob bolt (3), then lift off the manual transmission control lever lower boot and knob as an assembly (1, 2).
