Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition/Vehicle OFF, disconnect the X2 connector at the K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module.
- Ignition/Vehicle in Service Mode.
- Test for less than 1 V between control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater
- Test circuit 290 for a short to voltage.
- If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found
- Test circuit 296 for a short to voltage.
- If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found
- Replace the M51P Front Seat Adjuster Actuator - Passenger.
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Ignition/Vehicle OFF.
- Test for infinite resistance between control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test circuit 290 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Test circuit 296 for a short to ground.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Replace the M51P Front Seat Adjuster Actuator - Passenger.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than infinite resistance between control circuit terminal 1 and control circuit terminal 11.
- If infinite resistance
- Test circuit 290 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Test circuit 296 for an open/high resistance.
- If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found
- Replace the M51P Front Seat Adjuster Actuator - Passenger.
- Go to next step: If less than infinite resistance
- Replace the M51P Front Seat Adjuster Actuator - Passenger.
- Connect the X2 connector at the K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module.
- Clear all DTCs.
- Operate all power seat motors in the Up/Down or Forward/Rearward directions.
- Verify DTC B1098 and B109C do not set.
- If any DTC sets
Replace the K40P Passenger Seat Adjuster Memory Module.
- Go to next step: If no DTC sets
- If any DTC sets
- All OK.
