Installation Procedure
Automatic Transmission Wiring Harness (2) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
Press the automatic transmission wiring harness into the transmission case until the four retaining tabs (1) around the main connector (2) lock into place.
Clutch Housing Fluid Passage Seal (1) - Install NEW
Connect the transmission wiring harness electrical connector (1).
- NOTE:
Due to transmission fluid pump chain tension, the control valve assembly and fluid pump sprocket must be installed simultaneously.
Install the transmission fluid pump driven sprocket (1) onto the chain then position the sprocket and control valve body onto the chain.
- CAUTION:
Use care when handling the control valve body assembly. If dropped, damage to the control solenoid valve body assembly internal components may result.
Control Valve Body (3) - Install
- Install and hand tighten the 7 M6 x 68 control valve solenoid body bolts (2).
- Install and hand tighten the 4 M6 x 45 control valve solenoid body bolts (1).
- Tighten the control valve solenoid bolts (1) and (2) in sequence. Fastener Specifications
Using a suitable pry tool, lock the transmission fluid pump driven sprocket retainer (2).
Install the transmission control wiring harness (4) then connect the electrical connectors as needed.
- Install the transmission control wiring harness retainer (5).
Connect the manual valve (1) to the manual shift shaft position switch assembly linkage (2).
- Return the manual valve spring (2) to it's correct position.
