Removal Procedure

- Place the transmission control in the park position.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Ensure that the shift lever and the transmission control are in the Park position.
- NOTE:
Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable while the transmission and the gear selector are in
the Park position only. Failure to do so may cause mis-adjustment
With the transmission control and the transmission in the park position, slide the automatic transmission range selector locking ring (2) in the direction of the arrow to access the automatic transmission range selector cable retainer (3).
- Using a flat bladed tool, release the automatic transmission range selector cable retainer (3) then adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable (4) until the automatic transmission range selector lever cable bolt (1) can be installed.
- Move the automatic transmission range selector locking ring (2) in the opposite direction of the arrow to ensure the automatic transmission range selector cable retainer (3) is locked in place.
