Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Make sure the brake hose is not twisted, tensioned or kinked after installation. With the suspension settled, check there is no contact with the surrounding components when moving the steering from lock to lock. Failure to comply could result in damage to the brake hose.

NOTE:
When installed and twisted 360 degrees, brake hose routes incorrectly toward the steering knuckle.

Front Brake Hose (1) - Install

NOTE:
Install NEW brake hose fitting gaskets.

Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (1)@ Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Install [2x]

CAUTION:
Fastener Caution

Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)

Brake Hose Retainer (1) - Install

Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten 19 N.m (14 lb ft)

Verify that the front brake hose (1) is routed correctly for either driver or passenger side.
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual with LGX) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure with LGX) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure with LTA)
Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
