Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Remove - Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side
- Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Remove - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
- Disconnect the brake master cylinder from the push rod retainer (1) by pulling the brake pedal (2) outwards.
- Windshield Wiper Transmission (2) - Remove - Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement
- Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.NOTE:
Label the brake pipes to ensure they are re-installed in the correct ports of the brake master cylinder.
- Front and Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect [4x]
- Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - remove [2x]
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bolt (2) - Remove
- Brake Master Cylinder (1) - Remove
- Remove and DISCARD push rod retainer.
- Brake Master Cylinder Bracket Bolt (2) - remove [2x]
- Brake Master Cylinder Bracket (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- Transfer components as necessary.
