Installation Procedure

Install the accelerator pedal position sensor. Refer to Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
Install the brake pedal assembly.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the brake pedal assembly nuts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
Install the power vacuum brake booster. Refer to Power Vacuum Brake Booster Replacement .
Install the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement .

Install the right upper brake and accelerator pedal assembly bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

Install the left upper brake and accelerator pedal assembly bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

NOTE:
Install a new power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer.

Install a new power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer to the power vacuum brake booster pushrod.

NOTE:

Ensure the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer is fully seated in the brake pedal arm.

Install the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer to the brake pedal (1).
Connect the accelerator pedal position sensor electrical connector.
Install the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
