Removal Procedure

  1. With the engine OFF, apply the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the right front wheelhouse front liner. Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement .

    Remove the power brake booster pump splash shield push pins (1).

  5. Remove the power brake booster pump splash shield.

    Disconnect the power brake booster pump inlet pipe quick connect (1).

  7. Release the power brake booster pump inlet rear pipe retainer (2).
  8. Position the power brake booster pump inlet pipe aside.

    Disconnect the power brake booster pump electrical connector.

  10. Remove the power brake booster pump nuts (1).

    Remove the power brake booster pump and relay (1).
