Sunroof Sunshade Motor Replacement

Preliminary Procedure It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only perform the steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof)Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof) .
1	Sunroof Sunshade Motor Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Open sunshade fully open position. Disconnect the electrical connector. With a turning motion, pull downward on the motor. Disengage the motor from the drive cables. Tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
2	Sunroof Sunshade Motor Procedure Install the motor to the frame with a turning motion, push upward. This will engage motor into the drive cables. Verify the sunroof sunshade motor initialization operation. Refer to Sunroof/Sunshade Motor Initialization .

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Open sunshade fully open position.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
With a turning motion, pull downward on the motor. Disengage the motor from the drive cables.

Tighten
5 N.m (44 lb in)

Sunroof Sunshade Motor

Procedure

Install the motor to the frame with a turning motion, push upward. This will engage motor into the drive cables.
Verify the sunroof sunshade motor initialization operation. Refer to Sunroof/Sunshade Motor Initialization .
