Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LF3)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator vacuum tank from the engine coolant fan shroud and reposition the electrical and vacuum harness out of the way. Refer to Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Replacement (LF3) .
  2. Remove the front end upper tie bar. Refer to Front End Upper Tie Bar Replacement (With LF3)Front End Upper Tie Bar Replacement (Without LF3) .
  3. Remove the charge air cooler coolant outlet pipe bolt (1) from the engine coolant fan shroud. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Coolant Outlet Pipe Replacement (LF3) .
  4. Disconnect the engine coolant fan motor connectors from the engine coolant fan motor.
  5. Remove the electrical wiring harness from the engine coolant fan shroud and reposition out of the way.
  6. Unclip the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipes from the radiator.
1 Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Fastener (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
6 N.m (53 lb in)
2 Engine Coolant Fan Shroud
Procedure 
Transfer all necessary parts.
