Front Compartment Front Panel Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling
2. Remove the front fenders. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .
3. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF3) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LGX) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LTG) , or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LT4)
4. Reposition the radiator with the A/C condenser from the upper tie bar. Refer to Radiator Upper Bracket Replacement (LTG, LGX) .
5. Remove the hood primary and secondary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (CTS) , or Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (CTS-V) .
6. Airbag front end discriminating sensor. Refer to Front End Inflatable Restraint Discriminating Sensor Replacement .
7. Front bumper fascia center support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Replacement (Upper) , or Front Bumper Fascia Center Support Replacement (Lower) .
8. Remove the front fender front lower bracket. Refer to Front Fender Front Lower Bracket Replacement .

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors/harnesses as needed.
2. Disconnect the hood latch cable from the tie bar.
3. Transfer any parts as needed.
