- Inspect for damaged or worn 2-3-4-6-8 clutch plates (545 - 548).
- Inspect for damaged 2-3-4-6-8 clutch piston (526), clutch housing (521), return spring (527), piston dam (529), and apply ring (544).
- Inspect for damaged 2-3-4-6-8 clutch piston dam retaining ring (531).
- Inspect for cut, worn or damaged 2-3-4-6-8 clutch piston seal (525), and dam seals (522, 528, 530).
- Inspect for improper selective 2-3-4-6-8 clutch backing plate retaining ring (550).
- Inspect for damaged 2-3-4-6-8 clutch backing plate (549). Inspect for worn splines on backing plate.
