Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Remove the component: Automatic Transmission Fluid Pan
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector: B15 Transmission Internal Mode Switch
  4. Test the resistance between the test points: Control Terminal 1 & Ground Terminal 2

    Verify the resistance between the Terminals listed in the table below.

    • Park/Neutral = Less than 2 ohms
    • Reverse = Infinite resistance
    • Drive = Infinite resistance
    • Low = Infinite resistance
    • If not the specified value 

      Replace the component: B15 Transmission Internal Mode Switch

    • Go to next step: If the specified value 
  5. All OK.
