Removal Procedure
Remove the front floor lower console (3). Refer to Front Floor Lower Console Replacement .
Remove the windshield garnish molding (1). Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement .
Remove the steering column (2). Refer to Steering Column Replacement (N37)Steering Column Replacement (N38) .
Remove the radio control assembly (2). Refer to Radio Control Assembly Replacement .
Remove the instrument panel extension (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement .
Remove the right instrument panel upper trim panel (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
Remove the instrument cluster (2). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
Remove the head-up display, if equipped. (2). Refer to Head-Up Display Replacement .
Remove the instrument panel center trim plate applique (2). Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Plate Applique Replacement .
Remove the left instrument panel trim plate applique (2). Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique Replacement - Left Side .
Remove the left instrument panel upper trim panel (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
Remove the front floor console rear air duct (2). Refer to Front Floor Console Rear Air Duct Replacement .
Remove the radio front center speaker (2). Refer to Radio Front Center Speaker Replacement .
Remove the instrument panel carrier bolts (1).
Remove the instrument panel carrier bolts (1).
Note the location and routing of the instrument panel electrical harness assembly, to ensure proper reinstallation.
- Disconnect the fasteners securing the instrument panel electrical harness assembly to the instrument panel carrier and position out of the way.
- With the aid of an assistant lift the instrument panel carrier (1) rearward and upward from the tie bar assembly.
- Remove the instrument panel carrier from the vehicle.
