Installation Procedure
Install the NEW manual shift shaft seal (1) using DT-47770 seal installer.
Install the manual shift shaft (2) aligning the position switch assembly onto the shaft.
- Install the NEW manual shift shaft pin (1).
- Install the NEW manual shift shaft detent lever hub pin (3).
- Raise and install the transmission. Transmission Replacement (M5U with LF4) , or Transmission Replacement (M5N with LTG) , or Transmission Replacement (M5N with LGX)
- Install the control valve body. Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) , or Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U)
- Install the automatic transmission range selector lever. Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Replacement
- Reprogram the transmission. Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
