Removal Procedure
- Remove the control valve body from the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) , or Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U) .
Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
- Using the DT-48285 Valve Body Torx Plus Socket, remove the three automatic transmission fluid baffle bolts and Discard (2).
- Disconnect the two wiring harness retainers (3).
- Remove the automatic transmission output speed sensor wiring harness (4).
CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
