Installation Procedure
- CAUTION:
The intermediate and output speed sensors must be installed in the correct location. Harsh shifting or transmission damage may occur if the speed sensors are not installed in the correct location.
NOTE:Ensure speed sensors are in the correct positions indicated by arrow.
Install the automatic transmission output speed sensor wiring harness (1).
- Connect the two wiring harness retainers (2).
- Using the DT-48285 Valve Body Torx Plus Socket, Install the three NEW automatic transmission fluid baffle bolts (3) and tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in) plus 45 degrees.
- Connect the electrical connector (4).
- Install the control valve body to the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) , or Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U)
- Reprogram the transmission. Q77 Transmission Control Solenoid Valve Characterization Programming
CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
