Installation Procedure

  1. Fig 1: Identifying Valve Body Torx Plus Bolt And Valve Body Assembly Bolts With Tightening Sequence

    Using DT-48285  Valve Body Torx Plus Socket install the valve body (3) and the valve body assembly bolts (1, 2) in the transmission.

  2. Tighten the bolts (1 - M6 x 68) and bolts (2 - M6 x 45) to 9 N.m (80 lb in) in the sequence shown.

    Install the transmission fluid pump driven sprocket (1). Refer to automatic transmission fluid baffle and driven sprocket in Control Valve Assembly and Transmission Wiring Harness Installation .

    Install the manual shaft detent lever spring (2) and the manual shaft detent lever spring retaining bolt (1) then tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

    Connect the manual valve (1) to the manual shift shaft position switch assembly linkage (2).

    Install the transmission fluid baffle (2). Transmission Fluid Baffle Replacement 

  7. Install the auxiliary fluid accumulator. Auxiliary Fluid Accumulator Replacement

    Install the transmission fluid filter (4). Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) , or Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (All Wheel Drive) 

  9. Reprogram the transmission. Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
