Installation Procedure
- If installing a new master cylinder, bench bleed the master cylinder. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder Bench Bleeding .
- Install the master cylinder.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:Install new master cylinder nuts.
Install new master cylinder nuts (1) and tighten to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
Connect the brake pressure modulator valve primary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Connect the brake pressure modulator valve secondary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- If equipped, connect the clutch master cylinder feed hose.
- Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
